Wow. It has almost been a whole year since I've updated this blog. God, I remember when I fist started this blog for a Mass Media class at my college. When the teacher said we had to make a blog, my mind instantly zipped to ponies. If you haven't read my old posts, you can tell I was a very dedicated brony. I defended the fandom, I said we were a great fandom, and we still are. I was wrong.
At the end of the day, we are nothing more than a fandom of a show. Yes we do charities, but doesn't every other fandom do that? I bet their's a Sonic fanboy giving donating his cloths to poor children, a whovian working at a YMCA, and a trekkie giving his blood so another life may live longer. What makes our fandom so special? I'll tell you. We are MEN watching a show that targets GIRLS. Society saw that, and now we have eyes all over us. So far, being an outward brony has only hampered my life. I grow tired of everyone judging for the shirts I wear and the references I make.
I will continue to watch the show, read the comics, and look at the pictures, but I will no longer call myself a brony. I shall simply sit in the middle and watch from afar. The Gate is still open to everyone else, but I shall not be the mouthpiece for our fandom no longer. Good day.
(P.S.: "Love and Tolerate" is a dumbass slogan. We're humans, we judge and hate as well as love and tolerate.)
